About Us

We began our game design adventure back in 1988 when our first game, Modern Naval Battles, was published by World Wide Wargames (3W). We continued to design games for most of the major game companies in the industry for the next thirteen years. By that time, we had designed, developed, contacted artists, prepped files for printers, and worked with distributors and game stores. In short, we had experience in all phases of the game design cycle, so we decided to start our own company in 2001, and Dan Verssen Games was born. Since then, with your much appreciated support, we have published several hundred games, expansions, and accessories, and continue to be part of the best industry and have the best community of fans in the world. DVG has always been a family-owned and operated company, and in 2024, we continued the legacy, by making our son, Kevin, a full partner in the business. Kevin has been play testing games since he was in elementary school, and soon advanced to developing and designing games. He has been an active member of the company his whole life and we know that in the years to come, DVG will be in his capable hands to continue what we started so many years ago.
